Itinerary

DAY 1 - ARUSHA
On arrival transfer to the Mountain Village in Arusha in a Standard Room for one night.

DAY 2 - ARUSHA to LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment with a seasonal lake which attracts numerous animals. The park is home to lions lazing in sausage trees, pods of hippo wallowing and clouds of pink flamingo. After lunch at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, enjoy a game drive in the park then stay overnight in a Standard Room (approx. 81 miles).

DAY 3 - LAKE MANYARA to NGORONGORO
Enjoy a morning game drive around the shores of Lake Manyara. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions, large troops of baboons and especially the herds of elephant. Then depart for Ngorongoro, stopping for lunch en route at Gibbs Farm, then visiting the Iraqw Tribes people before arriving at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Stay in a Standard room where the hotel is perched on the western edge of the stunning crater (approx. 99 miles). This affords the hotel one of the best positions for glorious sunrises and exquisite views.

DAY 4 - NGORONGORO CRATER
Descend 600 metres down the rim to explore the stunning crater and its wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch then return to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for an afternoon of soaking up the warm atmosphere and enjoying the amazing views (approx. 90 miles). The crater is at high altitude and evenings can be cold, therefore be sure to pack a mixture of warm and light clothing.

DAY 5 - NGORONGORO CRATER to SERENGETI
Descend from the crater visiting Olduvai Gorge and the Serengeti plains, before entering the world famous National Park. After lunch, enjoy a game drive in the park and overnight at the Serengeti Serena Lodge in a Standard Room (approx. 124 miles).

DAY 6 - SERENGETI
Enjoy game drives today, looking out for the big cats and much more!

DAY 7 - SERENGETI
Drive to the Western corridor of the Serengeti enjoying a game drive en route, lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Overnight at Kirawira, a luxury tented camp in colonial style offering superb views over the plains and a different insight into the wonderful safari experience (approx. 62 miles).

DAY 8 - SERENGETI 
Light aircraft flight to Arusha for lunch, then transfer to the airport for your return flight via Nairobi. Alternatively, choose to extend your holiday with an African beach break.
